Skippers Seafood is a family-owned, pet friendly, fast-casual restaurant that offers hours all year round. Recognized by the State of Connecticut for providing excellent service to our customers, Skippers has earned the loyalty of locals and tourists alike for nearly two decades. During this time, we have been graced with fantastic employees, some working for us for many years while others return seasonally – always providing world-class service to our customers. Our customers have been and will continue to be the centerpiece of our business model. We have been serving some of our customers for as long as we have been open and consider them much more than customers – they have become family as well.

We are especially known for our fresh lobster rolls, homemade onion rings, and fresh fish sourced from the North Atlantic which is fried in cholesterol-free oil. We offer tasty treats for before or after dinner including ice cream which is imported fresh from Gifford’s of Maine. This led to us being number one in all online reviews including yelp and google reviews.

Located on scenic Niantic Bay, you can spot the local and Amtrak trains occasionally motoring by, and head to a nearby boardwalk to walk off your meal. For bigger events, Old Saybrook has the same homemade food with picnic tables offering both sunlight and shade for birthday parties, family outings or just casual seafood fun. Skippers is BYOB so feel free to bring your own beer, wine or cider!
