Since its opening in January 2006 by Mystic native Amy “Dechen” Zezulka, the Shala community continues to grow due to its inspirational teachers and nurturing atmosphere.

Most of our classes are based on the Baron Baptiste Power Yoga Methodology, a proven system of yoga that works and is practiced by many well respected professional athletes, as a way to recover from injuries quickly and to get a competitive edge. The rest of us practicing this method also discover a sense of well-being, health and vitality that enhances all aspects of our lives.
