Scalzi Park is the largest recreational area within the Stamford city limits. It features tennis, basketball, volleyball courts, and baseball and softball fields, running and hiking trails as well as a bocce ball arena. It also houses Cubeta Stadium, which is home to the Stamford American Legion baseball squad. Free parking and on-site restrooms.

The facility houses a Little League field, picnic pavilions, as well as basketball and tennis courts. There are also wooded areas, hiking trails, playsets, and swings located on the premises. Kosciuszko Park is a 7-acre waterfront peninsula park that contains a wide walkway around the perimeter, which encircles ball fiels and a children's playground. Narrower loop trails extend down closer to the water. The site has plenty of parking and does not require a fee or sticker to access.
