Our personalized, authentic, and affordable birding and wildlife tours are designed to reveal the splendor and diversity of natural world. We conduct guided bird walks and bird identification classes at Connecticut's best shoreline birding areas which include Sandy Point Sanctuary in West Haven, Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison, Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven, the Coastal Center at Milford Point, Nehantic State Forest in Lyme, the lower Connecticut River in Old Saybrook and Old Lyme, and other natural areas in the Greater New Haven area.

Founded by tour leader and naturalist Gina Nichol, Sunrise Birding offers outings designed for beginning and experiences bird watchers and naturalists alike. The goal is always to see as much of an area's wildlife as possible while gaining a richer appreciation of the complexity and beauty of the local environment. Beginners can expect to improve their bird watching skills while veteran birders add sought-after and prized species to their life lists. Tours feature knowledgeable and enthusiastic leaders eager to share their expertise, and adept at finding the wildlife and making sure that everyone sees it. Tours offer opportunities to see and learn about wintering wildlife on the Connecticut coast, witness the northward journey of birds in during spring migration, observe the nesting activities of the shoreline's breeding birds, and view the spectacle of the fall migration.
