Norwich Arts Center
The Norwich Arts Council was formed in 1987 to cultivate the region's appreciation, understanding, and enjoyment of the arts by providing affordable cultural enrichment through diverse visual, literary, and performing arts programs and events.
In 2010, the name was changed to Norwich Arts Center, Inc. to include all the aspects of the facilities including the Donald L. Oat Theater, Norwich Cinema, Co-op Gallery and Gallery II, venues for musicalperformances, workshops and educational facilities.Â
The first floor of the center is comprised of two galleries, the Norwich Arts Center Co-op Gallery, operated by the artists' cooperative with opening receptions on First Friday of every month 6 p.m.-8 p.m. The Norwich Arts Center Gallery II rents exhibition space to community artists.
