We are coastal cheesemakers specializing in making the most exceptional cheeses that are made with care, technique, and the science of & art of milk metamorphosis. The Mystic Cheese Company was founded in 2013 where we started making cheeses in what we called "pods" (shipping containers) in Lebanon, CT but soon we outgrew them and built our new facility in Groton, CT. We source the milk used in our cheesemaking from the pasteurized milk from CT farms - primarily being from Kingswood Farm in Brooklyn, CT. All our cheeses are made on site, and aged on site. Everything we make reflects what we love most about cheese, and we hope that you love them too.
Our cheese shop offers all our own cheeses but also a selection of domestic and imported cheeses in addition to a variety of accompaniments, charcuterie, crackers and other cheese shop goodies. But it does not stop there! Enjoy one of our famous grilled cheeses when visiting.
