With a combined 167 acres, GOSA Sheep Farm offers visitors an opportunity to visit beautiful waterfalls, streams, vernal pools, rocky ledges, glacial erratics, and more while hiking along the property's trail network. The Groton Open Space Association acquired the Sheep Farm North property in 2010, and expanded it with the acquisition of Sheep Farm South in 2021. The site was formerly used for agricultural purposes, and visitors can spot features such as building foundations, a grist mill dam, and colonial-era stone walls.
Recreational opportunities available at GOSA Sheep Farm include hiking, biking, bird and wildlife viewing, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
GOSA Sheep Farm can be accessed by trailheads on Hazelnut Hill Road and Flanders Road in Groton.
