Hamden Historical Society
Housed on the third floor of the Miller Memorial Library, the Hamden Historical Society’s purpose is to collect, preserve, and make available historical materials relating directly and significantly to Hamden.
As Hamden’s unofficial historic preservation agency, the Society works to highlight and preserve the town’s architectural heritage. Over the years we have published Hamden: Our Architectural Heritage, worked to restore and preserve the Jonathan Dickerman House Museum and Cider Mill Barn, saved the Rectory School Barn from demolition. We continue to work to document and preserve buildings of historic importance and interest in the town of Hamden.
