There’s so much to do at Deer Pond Farm nature preserve, including hiking, birding, trail running and walking. In Winter, enjoy snowshoeing and/or cross-country skiing.

Explore more than 850 acres and 15 miles of trails at this new nature preserve dawn to dusk, year-round.

What visitors to Deer Pond Farm nature preserve will experience is one of Connecticut’s great natural areas. The preserve highlights include deep shaded forest of hills and hollows, with small ponds and streams. There are also meadows and grassy areas to enjoy birds and other wildlife viewing. Enjoy our seasonal pollinator garden near the visitor parking area.

Deer Pond Farm also offers spectacular views from a high point of 1,200 feet elevation in some places.

This hidden gem is just 20 minutes north of Danbury, in northern Fairfield County (CT) and southern Dutchess County (NY), close to Litchfield County (CT) and Putnam County (NY).

Our grounds and trails are for passive recreation only. No dogs allowed.
