Avery Farm Nature Preserve and Candlewood Ridge are two contiguous properties maintained by the Groton Open Space Association. Together, they provide 430 acres of habitat area for watershed and wildlife protection, along with an extensive trail network for visitors to explore the preserves.

Both properties were acquired by GOSA in 2013. Visitors can see rugged ridges, glacial erratics, upland forests, a former cranberry bog, and a wide variety of wildlife. The preserves are open for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.

Visitors can access Avery Farm or Candlewood Ridge from one of four trailheads. The main parking area is located at the end of Lambtown Road in Groton.
