Este museo histórico (1914), declarado Monumento Histórico Nacional, destaca la historia natural del estado, con especial atención a las aves. Junto a él se encuentra un santuario de 2,4 hectáreas con senderos. Fundado por la pionera conservacionista Mabel Osgood Wright, el museo alberga dioramas, exhibiciones de vida silvestre y huellas de dinosaurios. Representa el primer santuario privado de aves y forma parte del Sendero del Patrimonio de las Mujeres de Connecticut. La Sociedad Audubon de Connecticut ofrece programas durante todo el año para niños, familias, adultos y grupos en su Museo y Santuario Birdcraft. Voluntarios de la Sociedad Audubon de Connecticut, con licencia del Servicio de Pesca y Vida Silvestre de los Estados Unidos, operan aquí una importante estación de anillamiento de aves desde 1979; se ofrecen demostraciones y visitas guiadas a cualquier grupo con cita previa (teléfono: 203-259-0416).
