The Trumbull Nature & Arts Center is located on 11+ acres of natural habitats, including meadow, forest, stream and a large pond, plus trails for exploring and a popular playground. The playground and trails are open to the public during daylight hours, year-round. We provide environmental education programs for students throughout the year, and for families on the weekends. Popular programs include our Maple Sugaring demonstration, St. Patrick's Day Rainbow Search, and Sunflower Seed Harvesting. Our new Science Adventure Trail provides a unique opportunity for families with children ages 6 and up to discover the wonders of environmental science while using science tools in natural surroundings. Using a toolkit, trail guidebook and detailed map, families perform activities at 10 stops along the trails. The Science Adventure Trail is a fun, unique, and rewarding way to spend a weekend morning or afternoon.
