Bridgeport’s own Merritt Canteen has been welcoming visitors to its Main St. location since 1942 offering all of its original favorites such as hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, and seafood, and a host of new items that are sure to become classics such as bison burgers, sweet potato fries, and the best chili and clam chowder around!

The Canteen is a well-known stop for visitors frequenting many of Bridgeport’s attractions including the Beardsley Zoo and The Arena at Harbor Yard. It’s only a short distance from Exit 48 off the Merritt Parkway and just minutes from the Trumbull Shopping Park.
