Once an abandoned wagon wheel forge, the Tamarack Lodge began as a family resort in 1947. Named for the Tamarack trees located on the property, this rustic estate is situated on 28 acres of scenic, wooded grounds abutting Beach Pond and Pachaug State Forest, with a trail leading right to the beach pond. The Tamarack Lodge has a long history of hosting weddings, banquets, and special events and had been closed since 2013.
The Lodge was purchased and re-opened in the summer of 2017. Whether you’re looking for Sunday brunch, live music on the lawn, a scenic setting for your wedding, family dining, or a quiet vacation, Tamarack Lodge has a variety of offerings and recreational activities.
The lodge can accommodate any size group from 20 to 200 for specialty catering, corporate meetings, retreats, and banquets. Hardwood floors and exposed beams compliment the natural beauty of this unique setting. There are several small dining rooms, a large banquet room, full-service bar, spacious dance floor, and cozy stone fireplace area. Wi-Fi is available within the Lodge!
In addition to the food service and banquet facilities, Tamarack has eight cozy cabins available to house guests for an enjoyable and relaxing get-away experience. Outside, the sky’s the limit on the lovely wooded landscape. Bring your canoes, kayaks, or paddle boards. Enjoy picnics, BBQ’s, pig roasts or clambakes… you name it! We welcome you as our guest.
