The Stomping Ground

It's been quiet. Too quiet. Artists and musicians alike have been itching for a new place to visit, to enjoy, to participate. A place where they can perform and witness self-expression by others. Thus, the necessity for The Stomping Ground became apparent. A social setting where everyone is welcome, respected, and encouraged to be themselves.

Located in the heart of the budding town of Putnam, CT, The Stomping Ground is a music and art venue, serving food and libations, but with a focus on live performances and contemporary art.
We are open for lunch and dinner, Tuesday through Sunday. We've been listed as one of the top 15 restaurants you must try in Connecticut, with a 4.5 star rating. We host live music 6 days a week, Trivia Night on Wednesdays, an early Jazz show on Thursdays at 5:30 (before the main act), and a Sunday Matinee show at 1:00pm. We also serve brunch Sundays from 11am - 4pm. We accept cash or card, and love suggestions. Tell us what you think! We have gift certificates!
