The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk welcomes visitors aboard the R/V Sound Explorer for public cruises throughout the year. 

The following cruises are available: 

  • New! Oyster Town Harbor Cruise
  • Marine Life Encounter Cruises
  • Sunset Cruises
  • Fireworks Cruises (July 4th)
  • Seal-Spotting & Birding Cruises (Winter)

See the Aquarium’s website for specific dates, times and prices, and to make reservations, which are strongly recommended. Passengers must be at least 42" tall.

School groups, Scouts, camps, and other groups (10 or more people) can also charter the R/V Sound Explorer for study cruise programs on Long Island Sound.

Cruises depart from the Aquarium's dock at 90 Water Street (a 7-10 minute walk from the Aquarium's main entrance).
