AW Marina, established in 1959, is family-owned bait and tackle store with dockage and moorings located in the Greens Harbor area of New London. Throughout the years, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other places may offer similar services, but our services are the best and come with a personal touch. The Jabez Smith House is an excellent example of 18th century domestic architecture. The one and one-half story, gable-roof structure with central brick chimney has remained virtually unchanged since c. 1783, when it was built by Jabez Smith. Authentic 18th and 19th-century antiques are on display.

Hosmer Mountain Bottling Co. was purchased in 1958 by Arthur J. Potvin from Mrs. Fred Meyer, whose husband had passed away the previous summer. The Potvin’s then became the fourth family to run Hosmer. With the help of his wife and two eldest sons: Bill and John, Arthur began the arduous tasks that make the soda business a difficult one. He worked hard at keeping the machinery operational and the trucks on the road, blending the soda varieties, and keeping the customer happy.
