East Windsor Historical Society

Museums on the Green is a sprawling site dediated to the preservation of East Windsor's rich history. Our primary museum of local history is housed in the East Windsor Academy building. The exhibits and artifacts on display are interesting and varied, reflecting East Windsor’s history from Colonial and Revolutionary periods to the present. Along with the main building, there is the Osborn House, Barber Hill School House, Broad Brook Barber Shop, East Windsor Probate Court, barns, and more.

East Haddam Historical Society & Museum

Museum dedicated to the history of East Haddam and its villages. The East Haddam Historical Society, founded over 50 years ago, has a fine collection of local and Lower Connecticut River Valley historical objects, and prides itself on its kid-friendliness. Among the highlights of the museum are a photographic display of the rise and fall of the Industrial Age in Moodus Village, Native American artifacts dating to 1300 B.C. a photographic exhibit of the building of the East Haddam swing bridge, and a collection of changing fashions with period costumes on display.
