Who loves plants and flowers?  We do!  Halfinger Farms is a family run pick your own daffodils and greenhouse farm. Our pick your own daffodil farm is a place of beauty, and our greenhouses are filled with a huge selection of the highest quality plants that we grow ourselves. Once you discover Halfinger Farms, you’ll feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem too.

Our PYO daffodil farm, Dancing Daffodils, is located on a lovely, historic 1790 property in beautiful Candlewood Hill Valley. The daffodil farm is the perfect place to enjoy a spring outing with loved ones. Stroll through the daffodil fields and pick as many flowers as you would like. Daffodils are .70 each. Dancing Daffodils is Connecticut’s first pick your own daffodil farm, and we know you’ll love it! 

Our greenhouses have become a place our customers really look forward to coming to; we have become known for the incredible selection of high quality plants we grow and sell. The greenhouses feature a specialty watering system that recycles our irrigation water for re-use.

Here’s a look at our seasons:

APRIL: Enjoy a spring outing, come pick your own daffodils at our daffodil farm, Dancing Daffodils. Call 860-345-4609 for daily picking updates. Our greenhouses are also open in April. We grow beautiful spring plants including pansies, violas, lettuce gardens, spring greens, perennials and so much more. Daffodil picking and greenhouse exploring make for the perfect spring adventure!

MAY & EARLY JUNE:  This is the height of the planting season, and we grow transplants of all types including vegetable plants, herbs, flowering annuals, perennials, planters, hanging baskets, herb combinations and so much more. We grow fantastic, healthy plants!

LATE JUNE, JULY & AUGUST: The farm is closed for retail sales.

SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER: Halfinger Farms becomes, The Mum Farm starting on September 1. We grow thousands of gorgeous Belgian Mums. We grow and harvest our own pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks and other fall field crops. Fall is a beautiful time at the farm!
