Alice Clover Pinney Memorial Park in Unionville, Connecticut, celebrates the remarkable life of Alice "Clover" Pinney—a trailblazing journalist and beloved community figure. Pinney was a newspaper correspondent for the Hartford Courant for 54 years, from 1909 until her retirement in 1963. She was also the first local woman to hold a driver’s license and was named an honorary member of the Tunxis Hose volunteer fire company. The park, located along the scenic Farmington River directly across from her former home, honors her enduring contributions to the town she chronicled and cherished.
