• Wood Acres Farm, Terryville: With a choice of a country carriage, grand wagonette, hay wagon or sleigh, sit back, relax, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the farm’s outdoors. Afterwords, enjoy a complimentary beverage in the cozy farmhouse. All rides are private and by reservation only, so make sure to call ahead of time!

• Star Hill Family Farm, Portland: Running until December 21, you can enjoy a guided tour of the farm on their horse drawn wagon or sleigh. You’ll take in the farm’s scenic rolling hills and beautiful Christmas trees and make a fireside pit stop for a treat! Depending on when you go, you may also see Santa and his elves hard at work.

• Fairview Tree Farm Night of Lights Merry Christmas Hayride, Shelton: Ride through the farm’s decorated and lit tree fields with holiday scenes and Christmas spirit. You’ll also be able to meet Santa, Mrs. Claus, the Grinch, and others. After the 30-minute hayride, you can cozy up by a bonfire while sipping on hot cocoa and tasty treats. 

• The Christmas Hayride at Pumpkintown U.S.A., East Hampton: Beginning Thanksgiving weekend, take a hayride through the Pumpkintown Forest, meet the Pumpkinheads, and see how they celebrate the season. When you depart the ride, head to Paul’s and Sandy’s Too for tree and holiday shopping and entertainment on select weekends.
