It’s official! Once again, Connecticut is home to the #1 pizza in the nation, according to the Daily Meal. Not only does the state have the best pizza joint in the United States, it's a true pizza mecca with six other spots ranked in the top 50 of the 101 Best Pizzas in America!

New Haven Favorites

New Haven’s Frank Pepe’s at #1, and its long-time neighbor Sally’s at #9, lead the list of Connecticut pizzas rated among the top in the country.

Winners were chosen by survey of the readers of the Daily Meal, a popular food blog among those in the know. Here are how some of our other CT Pizza Trail favorites fared:
