The Trumbull Nature & Arts Center is located on 11+ acres of natural habitats, including meadow, forest, stream and a large pond, plus trails for exploring and a popular playground. The playground and trails are open to the public during daylight hours, year-round. We provide environmental education programs for students throughout the year, and for families on the weekends. Popular programs include our Maple Sugaring demonstration, St. Patrick's Day Rainbow Search, and Sunflower Seed Harvesting. You will climb up, over, and through obstacles set up about 12' off the floor of our warehouse space. The obstacles include wobbly bridges, tight ropes, a slackline, and even a zip line. Apart from the courses is our unteathered zipline that isn't a part of any other course. Don't worry, you won't fall. Throught the trip, you'll be continually secured to our safety system. This teather was designed into our course DNA to swiftly and safely secure climbers 100% of the time while they traverse the obstacles. The system is designed to be operated with ease - this means no manual clippling

Located on a 200 year old dairy farm that is on the registry of National Historical Places. It was built by Ichabod Bradley in 1813. The farm has been lovingly restored and is open by appointment for private events, and classes. The farm features goat milk soap, goat walks, goat nannies, goat therapy, goat yoga, soap making classes; and available for birthday parties and farm weddings.

The Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary is nestled in the very heart of Newtown, spread over 34 acres of pristine farmland, breathtaking woodlands and rolling meadows. Created in 2013, the sanctuary pays tribute to the life of Catherine Violet Hubbard, a 6-year-old victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy.
