The Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary is nestled in the very heart of Newtown, spread over 34 acres of pristine farmland, breathtaking woodlands and rolling meadows. Created in 2013, the sanctuary pays tribute to the life of Catherine Violet Hubbard, a 6-year-old victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. Honoring the bond between animals, humans and the environment, the sanctuary works to enrich the lives of all beings by promoting compassion and acceptance.
