Branford Historical Society

This early 18th-century homestead features Branford historical artifacts, a Colonial herb garden and serves as the home of the Branford Historical Society. The house was constructed with a massive center chimney and a two-over-two room configuration. Constructed of local tulip wood and oyster shell plaster, the house features period furnishings, rotating exhibits along with period herb and flower gardens. Donations accepted.

The William Benton Museum of Art opened officially in 1967 though its roots go back to the early 20th century and the days of the Connecticut Agricultural College, which evolved into the University of Connecticut.
