A quiet, family-friendly campground nestled in the Litchfield hills, home to several long-time seasonal campers, families looking for a few days’ escape and single-night visitors who are just passing through. Located just off Route 6 in Thomaston, our 79 beautifully-groomed, shaded sites are very inviting, and a dip in the pool is just the thing to leave the real world behind for a while. The kids can enjoy the playground before the family gathers around the fire for s'mores. We have a fully stocked camp store with RV supplies, an arcade, two swimming pools and hiking trails. We also have a snack bar and ice cream bar. Once occupied by a New England boarding house known as Schultz Farm, and later dubbed Schultz’s Grove serving as a dairy farm and picnic area, the property we currently operate as Laurel Lock Campground of Oakdale, CT has been in our family since 1921. Named for the abundance of laurel and hemlock trees found on the property, the Southeastern Connecticut (CT) campground opened in August of 1967, with just 8 wooded sites.
