Seton Gallery at the University of New Haven

Seton gallery features the work of students, faculty and visiting artists. We present exhibitions that celebrate diversity and promote interdisciplinary practices. We are open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. During the academic year, student gallery assistants are available to give tours of current exhibitions. Please visit the Department of Art & Design's Administrative Assistant in Dodds Hall room 208 if an attendant is not present or through the summer months.

Samuel Parsons House (c.1759)

Dutch Colonial house with twin chimneys. Exhibits local history including silver, pewter, fireworks, children’s toys and a Civil War collection. Served as a tavern and stagecoach stop.

Rockland Preserve

Located in North Madison, west of Route 79 and just south of the Madison/Durham border, Rockland Preserve is an area of rounded, rocky hills, steep gray cliffs, ledges, and lovely wooded areas. Long abandoned ancient roads offer easy access for the walker and hiker. Crooked Hill Road, Poole Road and Dead Hill Road tell stories of travel by foot and horse and wagon of the residents of long ago. There is abundant evidence that the early settlers in Rockland harvested the land for wood and charcoal. Art and Architecture Gallery

Paul Rudolph’s building houses the Yale School of Architecture. During the school year, the school presents lectures and symposia and, in its gallery, exhibitions illuminating various aspects of the history and practice of architecture, including an annual exhibition of student work. The public is welcome at all events.
