Yale Marsh Botanical Garden

Self-guided walking tours through extensive plant collections that support plant systematics classes in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Sitting on eight acres, with six greenhouses comprising about a third of an acre under glass, Marsh Botanical Garden offers support for researchers, faculty and students at Yale, as well as an informative and eye-catching experience for visitors. In the summer, the naturalistic beds and wildflower plantings provide color and attract birds and butterflies. In spring, bulb displays and early flowering shrubs and trees add to the season. Wooster Square

Named for Revolutionary War hero David Wooster, the square was conceived in the early 1800s and has been refurbished to simulate a turn-of-the-century park. The square is surrounded by a border of Yoshino cherry trees whose blooming is celebrated every spring.

Woolsey Hall

Woolsey Hall is the primary auditorium at Yale University. With 2,650 seats, it is one of the bicentennial buildings of Yale University and is used extensively and primarily for official University functions and musical events. Woosley Hall is also the primary concert hall for the New Haven Symphony Orchestra.

Whitlock Farm Book Barn

Selling used and rare books since 1948, Whitlock's Book Barn operates from two weather-beaten barns in a scenic pasture. For decades, buyers and sellers of used books, old maps and ephemera have come to Whitlock’s looking for intellectual adventure.

Westwoods Trails

The largest recreational area for hiking in Guilford. Westwoods contains 39 miles of trails on 1,200 acres. It contains a wide diversity of fascinating natural formations such as cave structures, water falls, salt and fresh water marshes, inland tidal lake, carved rock sculptures and rock formations. Westwoods is a large area near the center of Guilford, Connecticut that is heavily wooded, and has extensive hiking trails. The first seven miles of the Westwoods trail system were blazed in 1966, there are now over 20 miles of mapped trails.
