Welcome to TopLands Farm!

We aim to inspire an intimate connection between the local community and the land. Through our pasture raised products and extensive collection of restored antique tractors and farm equipment, we seek to create an environment where the community can learn and benefit from time-honored agricultural methods.

Toplands Farm is located on roughly 600 acres in Roxbury, CT. Historically a dairy farm, the farm transitioned largely into hay production in the mid-90s while also raising beef, pork, and eggs for friends and family. In addition to our expanded beef herd, the farm is home to a collection of farm “pets” including donkeys, cows, goats, chickens, and occasional visitors from other farms.

Toplands Farm is also home to Double D Living History Farm which maintains the largest collection of restored antique tractors and farm equipment in the Northeast.

Farm Stand:

Our Roxbury, CT Farm Stand is open for walk-ins and we also have appointments available. We are excited to offer our customers a great variety of local meats: beef, pork, whole roasting chickens, cut up chicken, turkey and eggs. Call the office for current product availability. We are also glad to provide curbside pick up if you specify that when you call.

Pre-Order:

Orders are taken each day for pick up on the same day. Any items not picked up will be returned to stock. You may walk-in to learn what we have during meat shop hours if you are unable to call ahead.

Sides of Beef or Pork:

We also sell sides of beef or pork. For $7 per pound, you pay us to raise your animal right here at the farm in Litchfield County, CT. We take a deposit to hold your side of beef or pork and balance bill you once we learn the hot hanging weight from the butcher. We provide you with the cutting instruction sheet and you communicate directly with the local butcher to have the side cut to your specifications. You pay the butcher directly for cut and wrap when you pick up your meat at their location.
