Barbara Timberman Watercolor Paintings, Coventry
Admission to this quiet sanctuary is free. My Cottage Garden is a mix of vegetables, herbs, perennial and annual flowers enticing the visitor to wander, to rest, to draw and to engage the senses. Visitors are welcome to come for an afternoon of chat, share a cup of tea or indulge in quiet enjoyment. Feel free to bring sketchbook or camera. I will be demonstrating soft journal bookbinding and displaying my watercolor paintings.
Barn Yard Babies at the Nellie McKnight Museum, Ellington
The entire family can celebrate Ellington's rich! farming culture at Barnyards Babies Day. Interact with alpacas, calves, goats, sheep, chicks, and bunnies. Crafts for kids too! The Farm Exhibit, 1812 House Museum, and the 2024 exhibit "It Happened in Ellington ...Believe it or Not. Admission is free.
Burrows Hill Schoolhouse, Hebron
Burrows Hill Schoolhouse, circa 1730, is the earliest remaining Hebron school and is located on its original site. This schoolhouse with original desks and blackboard, has not been open for public viewing in several years.
Maintained by the Smith family for several years it was restored by the Hebron Historical Society in the 1990s with additional renovations in 2005 as part of an Eagle Scout project.
A two room outhouse is also on-site and related implements will be on view.

FentonRiver Studio, Storrs
Enjoy an inspirational environment, everything created by one woman artist. A dozen animal sculptures, a Koi pond, brightly colored cast cement leaves surrounded by an exuberant display of colorful blooms. Creativity and whimsy is revealed in mushrooms large and small, a giant tortoise, fairies and fairy houses, small and large ΓÇô one lighted at night and big enough to enter.
An old button factory serves as the artist's studio, displaying more than 100 award winning impressionist paintings.
Holes In The Woods, Willington
Holes in the Woods is part of the Art & Garden Ct Tour in Northeastern Ct. John has a 500 sq ft gallery displaying his sculpted tree hole art and 1/2 acre pond surrounded by approx. 2 miles of hiking trails filled with Mountain Laurel. June 8&9, 2024. 10AM-5PM.
Joshua's Trust Open House, Mansfield
Enjoy a trip into the past with tours of the two historical properties that Joshua's Trust cares for. Grab a cookie and lemonade at Atwood Farm and learn about life on a small farm in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Then go down the road and visit the beautifully preserved 19th century Gurleyville Grist Mill.
Maple Brook Studio: Art & Garden Tour, Coventry
Outdoors: front yard Labyrinth; backyard ΓÇÿemergingΓÇÖ Sanctuary Garden surrounded by woods. Indoors: Maple Brook Studio: Emotional Realism: an abundance of media: pen & ink, pastel, oil, Chinese brush, pyrography, unique gourd art and gourd/polymer clay Forest Delights series (Autumn and Spring). Nature is my inspiration. I'm incorporating tree bark, moss and lichen into this series; some with leaves cut from gourds, some with polymer clay leaves.
Michelle Metal Art and Gardens, Storrs Mansfield
Features three areas of interest: a metal sculpture garden, a perennial garden and a stone cairn installation. There are a variety of connective spaces, and the full installation is permeated by my collection of industrial and agricultural metal, along with. primitive metal art.
My current artistic focus is on fabricated and welded metal vessels, made from steel bar, finished with a highly saturated metallic 'Hot Rod' auto paint.
Moor's Charity School, Columbia
Please join us and learn about the history of education in Columbia from its beginning to present day. We have a permanent exhibit with experiential activities. Also, you can learn about medicinal plants that would have been planted by Native American in the 1700's. The Occom Garden is placed in back of Moor's Charity School and this unique garden honors the work of Samson Occom.

Museum of Connecticut Glass, Coventry
The Museum of Connecticut Glass has displays of antique Connecticut bottles and glassware, glassmaking tools, and historical photos relating to the glass industry in New England. The museum is located in the 1813 John Turner house on North River Rd in Coventry, Ct. Admission is free.
New England Civil War Museum and Research Center, Vernon
Kevin Johnson is a living historian who has portrayed Private William Webb in over 600 performances. With a captivating and entertaining first-person portrayal, Mr. Johnson embodies the spirit and struggles of African-American soldiers during the American Civil War. Mr. Johnson has spent over 20 years researching the life of Private Webb. The presentation is great for both kids and adults! If you haven't experienced Private Webb, you're missing out!
Scott Rhoades Art, Storrs
Scott and Ellie Rhoades offer a tour of his self built art studio with acrylic paintings depicting New England, the wilderness, and other works in traditional realism. The yard offers many garden sites including flowers, vegetables, fruit trees, rock structures and more.
Strong Family Farm Open House and Flea Market, Vernon
Strong Family Farm was established in 1878 by the Strong family. Today it is Vernon's nonprofit family farm open to the public to experience an authentic family farm environment while offering the community agricultural related learning experiences and a farm stand that offered only CTGrown and produced items. It will be open for a tour at 11 a.m. as well as it's annual flea market in the field with many locals give great deals of their "junk in their trunks". Come learn about the farm and join in the fun from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Valley Falls Farm and Heritage Center, Vernon
Located on eight scenic acres, the Heritage Center includes a majestic stable, dairy barn, root cellar, ice house and several other buildings that tell the story of life on a "Gentleman's Farm" in the early 1900s. The property later served as the summer estate of the prominent Hartford family of Mary Batterson Beach. Open 1-4 pm with guided tours; visitors receive a packet of flower seeds.
