Come tour the Elisha White House, a center hallway Colonial built in the 1750s, affectionately known as Old Brick.
Visit our Tool Museum and our Library, which houses the archives of Clinton’s history.  Stroll through our Gardens and discover a wee fairie village in among the Lily of the Valley blooms.

Company of Fifers and Drummers Museum, Essex

The purpose of the Company of Fifers and Drummers is to  perpetuate the historical significance and folk traditions of fife and drum music and to foster the spirit of fellowship among fifers and drummers everywhere. 

Here you can see many artifacts displayed, some dating back to the 18th and 19th Century. This includes rope tension snare and bass drums, fifes and bugles, sheet music, recordings, videos and uniforms.

The Greater Middletown Military Museum is a tribute to all military veterans, their families and the people who support the military. We are dedicated to preserving the rich military history of greater Middletown's veterans who served in the defense of America from colonial times to the present.Our collection of military memorabilia includes artifacts from every branch of military service: uniforms, medals, documents, letters, books, photographs, flags and weapons, all donated by local veterans and their families.

Halfinger Farms Greenhouses, Haddam

Who love plants and flowers? We do!  We are a family operated greenhouse farm located in beautiful Candlewood Valley.  Come explore or greenhouses and  see our specialized watering system; it recycles our irrigation water for reuse.  Free ice cold lemonade will be available for all.

Ivoryton Playhouse, Ivoryton

Free tours of the historic Playhouse from 11am - 1pm.  Display of memorabilia including photos, Playbills, posters and more.  Competition to win a 2024 season t-shirt.

Visitors will have an opportunity to purchase half price tickets for the Saturday, June 8th, 8pm performance of "Swingtime Canteen" ($30 each).  Tickets subject to availability and on sale at the box office only from 11am - 4pm on June 8th.

Lyman Orchards, Middlefield

Free Lyman Homestead Tours at Lyman Orchards. See inside the historic 1864 Lyman Homestead and hear highlights from the family's heritage on the land since 1741.

Powder Ridge Mountain Park Resort LLC, Middlefield

Pratt House, Essex Historical Society, Essex

Come visit Pratt House, Essex's only historic house museum, built 1701-1832.  On CT Open House Day, Pratt House hosts a number of musicians for free concerts and jam sessions during the Connecticut Sea Music Festival, 1pm - 4pm.  Pratt House, its gardens and reproduction barn will also be open with free admission that afternoon.  Pratt House (19 West Avenue) serves as a shuttle stop with free parking to connect visitors with other Sea Music venues in town.

Thankful Arnold House Museum, Haddam

The Thankful Arnold House Museum will be open between 12 noon and 4 pm with free admission.

The Adam Stanton House & General Store, Clinton

The Adam Stanton House - General Store is a true time capsule in the way few such museums are. Built in 1791 by a wealthy, striving merchant-businessman, the house retains original Stanton family clothing, furnishing, documents, and store inventory. ItΓÇÖs also architecturally exceptional, notable for its large scale and boasts 11 fireplaces, one smoke oven, and the presence of an authentic 18th century general store.          Tours: 1 - 4pm - with light refreshments.

Wesleyan Potters, Middletown

Join us for a fun-filled day of pottery and creativity Wesleyan Potters!  We're excited to open our doors to the community and offer a FREE and inclusive experience for all ages.

Take a spin on the potter's wheel and try your hand at ceramic art-making! Get ready for a clay-filled afternoon with our Clay Olympics, where kids and adults alike can compete in fun and challenging pottery-themed games!

Kids can also unleash their creativity with our Handbuilding activities, where they can shape and mold clay creations.

In addition to these hands-on activities, you'll have the chance to explore our studios and watch our talented artists at work. Take a peek at our Pottery, Weaving, and Jewelry Studios and become inspired (maybe even sign up for a class!).
