Experience a rare look at the 1935 Charles Federer Mural in The Cultural Commission office 256 Main Street Danbury, Connecticut 06810.
Hundreds of images from childrenΓÇÖs stories live on the walls of the entire room. The room was, at one time, the childrenΓÇÖs section of the 1878 public library, until the current library opened in 1971.
The center gathering contains images of Danbury children used as models for the project. One of the last works available to see of Charles Federer, a painter and artist from Bethel.

Museum of Darien, Darien
CT Open House Day: Visit the Museum of Darien on Saturday, June 8th, from 12-3 for this free event featuring Jane Mossa, from Pink Rhubarb. Jane will lead a drop in printmaking project for all ages. Come be inspired by our Colonial Herb and Flower Garden as we transfer early summer flowers to paper to create simple prints that can be used as note cards or artwork. Ongoing tours of the Bates-Scofield House with our teen docents dressed in period costume will educate and delight children and all who love history.
Rowayton Arts Center, Rowayton
A new show at the Rowayton Arts Center (RAC), Community Sponsored Awards, will be on view in the gallery June 8 during CT Open House Day free and open to the public from 10 am to 1 pm. This year, artwork in the exhibition will feature local scenes by RAC Exhibiting Members with cash awards thanks to individuals and merchants in the area.
RAC celebrates the study, creation and appreciation of the arts through classes, exhibitions and events open to all in the community. For over 60 years, this nonprofit organization has been a cultural gem in Rowayton, CT. The gallery and art school overlook the scenic Five Mile River at 145 Rowayton Avenue with space for regional artists to exhibit their art and a classroom for workshops and classes at all levels offered to children and adults. The Historic William Perry House, Stratford
The Historic William Perry House was built circa 1690's and is one of the oldest homes in Stratford. It boasts original flooring and beams, several fireplaces through out which includes the 9 foot fireplace in the Keeping Room. Come by for a tour of this unique gem! The Mather Homestead, Darien
