Connecticut Office of Statewide Marketing & Tourism Launches TheNationsBestPizza.com Ahead of National Pizza Day
HARTFORD, Conn – February 6, 2026 — Ahead of National Pizza Day, The Connecticut Office of Statewide Marketing & Tourism (SMT) today launched TheNationsBestPizza.com, a new digital destination celebrating Connecticut’s deeply rooted pizza culture and its growing national reputation as the home of the nation’s best pizza.
The site will serve as the entry point to a broader, statewide initiative set to rollout in 2027. That initiative will spotlight Connecticut’s pizza legacy – from its history, and evolving styles to the chefs, businesses, and innovation shaping the industry today.
Designed as a streamlined resource, TheNationsBestPizza.com provides official recognition of Connecticut’s leadership in pizza culture while laying the groundwork for expanded storytelling, content, and experiences to be unveiled as part of the larger campaign.
“Connecticut’s pizza culture is more than a trend — it’s a point of pride, a driver of local economies, and a defining part of our identity,” said Anthony Anthony, Chief Marketing Officer for the State of Connecticut. “TheNationsBestPizza.com is the front door to a bigger effort to tell that story, celebrate the people and places behind it, and continue building on the momentum that has positioned Connecticut at the center of the national pizza conversation.”
The launch builds on the growing national attention for Connecticut’s pizza scene, and reflects the state’s expanding reputation for quality, creativity, and tradition across its pizzerias and culinary community.
