Celebrate Connecticut’s 20th Anniversary of Open House Day with Free and Discounted Attractions Statewide
HARTFORD, Conn., (May 31, 2024) – On Saturday, June 8, Connecticut residents can enjoy exclusive access with free or reduced admission and special offers at nearly 150 tourism attractions across the state, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Connecticut Open House Day.
This one-day event, organized by the Connecticut Office of Tourism, showcases the state’s diverse tourism offerings—from history and art to adventure and culinary experiences.
Residents can explore:
- Free or Reduced Admission: At 50+ attractions including museums and historical sites.
- Exclusive Tours: At more than 30 attractions, some that are rarely open to the public.
- Special Offers and Events: At over 40 venues including outdoor adventure parks, nature centers, art studios, vineyards, and breweries.
Rachel Lenda, Director of the Connecticut Office of Tourism, emphasized the event’s role in fostering state pride and supporting local businesses: “For two decades, Open House Day has deepened residents’ appreciation for Connecticut’s vibrant tourism industry. We invite everyone to become tourists for the day and explore our state’s treasures.”
