Mohawk State Forest
From atop the 1,683-foot Mohawk Mountain, the view is literally forever on a clear day. At Mohawk State Forest, visitors can hike the rugged hills of the wildlife sanctuary or explore the black spruce bog, long recognized as a unique natural area. Both stream and pond fishing are popular within the forest and ten miles of trails are devoted to snowmobiles when the snow is six inches deep or more.
Other activities include: skiing and picnicking
