The bluffs overlooking the Connecticut River give this park a perspective that is unique among all others in the state park system. Activities include birding, river camping, and hiking.

River Highlands State Park has two campsites available to visitors traveling by canoe or kayak on the Connecticut River.  There is no vehicular access and stays are limited to one night only.  Advance reservations are required.  More information is available at here.
