Zen Garden Sound Bath: A Deep Rest & Healing Experience

learn more

As winter invites us to slow down and renew, the Buddhist Faith Fellowship presents Zen Garden Sound Bath: A Deep Rest & Healing Experience on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in Middletown, offering a restorative evening of sound, stillness, and community well-being.

Held at the Mansfield Freeman Center for East Asian Studies overlooking the Shôyôan Teien Japanese Garden, this immersive sound healing event blends crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other vibrational instruments to gently shift awareness and nervous system states toward rest and reflection. Participants often report deep relaxation, emotional release, calmer breathing, and renewed clarity — perfect for those seeking a peaceful winter experience.

The evening begins with a brief introduction to sound healing and a guided meditation before participants are invited to recline with provided yoga mats, chairs, or their own blankets and pillows. Led by certified Reiki Master and sound healer Kris Emory, this 90-minute session is open to everyone, from beginners to those familiar with meditation and healing practices.

Kris Emory, a Native American of the Cherokee Nation with nearly 30 years of experience in energy and sound work, guides attendees into a deepened sense of inner balance and harmony, connecting body, mind, and spirit.

Participants are encouraged to bring comfort items such as pillows or blankets. A suggested donation of $30 is requested at the door, with multiple payment options available. All are welcome to attend.
