Windham Celebrates America's 250th  will take place on Jillson Square and Shaboo Stage following the Boom box Parade  July 4   1:30 to 3:00 (gates open 12:30)  The event Features the 90 -piece Windham Concert Band playing patriotic music and Grammy Award Winning Latin Jazz by Zaccai Curtis and his Quartet and more. Reenactors portraying George and Martha Washington, Roger Sherman, Israel Putnam,  and more will work the crowd and share what they did as founding fathers.    Artist John Trumbull will be painting a portrait of Governor Jonathan Trumbull.Historical demonstrations include a small Revolutionary War army camp with tent, soldiers, and a spy and a small 18th century village with cooking, spinning, quilting, bee keeping, medicinal herbs, coopering, and more.  Eight food trucks will be available for lunch. The event is funded in part by CT Humanities.
