This spring, Hygienic Art Gallery in New London welcomes a bold Gallery Takeover as over 20 artists from Stonington’s historic Velvet Mill showcase a vibrant mix of painting, mixed media and assemblage in a celebration of regional creativity and collaboration.

The exhibition highlights the remarkable diversity of artistic practices nurtured within the Velvet Mill studios and serves as a bridge between the Stonington and New London art communities. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the artists’ unique perspectives and the camaraderie that drives one of southeastern Connecticut’s most dynamic creative collectives.
