On Saturday, October 18, 'Taste the History of Chocolate' at Leffingwell House Museum from 11am-3pm. The Pewter Pot Fine Spiced Chocolate will take you on a journey of the history of Chocolate. Discover the origins of chocolate and how it made its way from the New World to Spain, then returned to Connecticut as a delectable treat produced by Christopher Leffingwell in Norwich. Taste several chocolate recipes, make a cornhusk doll with Jane. You can participate in a hunt for Business Scarecrows in the garden with prizes and experience chocolate history in the museum.
