Taste of the Caribbean & Jerk Festival

The Taste of the Caribbean & Jerk Festival provides a medium through which we promote, educate and showcase the arts and diverse cultures of the Caribbean. People come from all over to sample our world-famous foods as well as to experience the Caribbean. Our patrons are entertained via scrumptious culinary delights, sight and sound presented by displays of costumes and live music ranging from Reggae, Soca, Salsa, Jazz, Calypso, Steel Band and Gospel. In fact; the festival has become one of Hartford’s signature family-oriented events.

The Children’s Village offers a variety of cultural games and activities for the youngsters. The Taste of the Caribbean & Jerk Festival is held annually on the first Saturday in August and is representative of the English, French, Spanish and Indo-Caribbean islands
