Storytelling Down on the Farm

Come to the Barn for some old-time storytelling with Carolyn Stearns and music by Joe Flood. This is a free family event; however, registration is requested.

Storyteller, author, public speaker and dairy farmer, Stearns brings to life the stories of New England’s past. Her family tales of Revolutionary ships lost at sea, the man who painted Lincoln and the ghost of New Haven will ignite your imagination and transport you to a time when oral storytelling and music were the only entertainments.

Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joe Flood has traveled a long musical road. He has released five albums under his own name and been featured prominently on several albums. His latest album, “All Roads Lead to the Blues,” was released in October of 2021 and explores the connections of blues to Afro-Cuban, gospel, rock ’n’ roll, and country music.
