Spring Outdoors Kick-Off & Vernal Equinox Hike

Join The Last Green Valley Rangers Emma & Cassidy to celebrate the arrival of spring and the kick-off for Spring Outdoors! We'll hike through the diverse habitat of the Sprague Land Preserve. You’ll experience a variety of landscapes as we trek old logging roads, hike into an old pine forest and up a ridge overlooking the Shetucket River before dropping down to hike next to the river. We'll visit two waterfalls before heading back to our cars on this approximately 3-mile loop. We've spotted bald eagles, pileated woodpeckers and the tracks and scat of many critters on this incredible property. Use 174 Holton Rd. on your GPS, however, you will see the sign for the logging road before the address.
