Shorebird Walk

book tickets now learn more

Located near the mouth of the Thames River on Long Island Sound, the mudflats and beaches of Harkness State Park attract a wide variety of shorebird species. There are still a few hardy species in late fall, and we'll search for the shorebirds as well as early winter birds and late fall migrants that might still be around.

The walk will be approximately .75 - 1 miles on mostly level dirt, grass, and sandy terrain. Exposure to cold and wind possible depending on the weather. Portable toilets on site.
