Shorebird Walk
Located at the mouth of the Thames River, Fort Trumbull is sitauted perfectly to catch migrating shorebirds on their way south. The expansive lawns, sandy flats, and rocky islands attract a variety of species, while the river and sound are home to gulls and waterfowl.
The walk will be approximately .5-.75 miles on level grassy, paved, and dirt terrain. Exposure to sun, heat/cold, and wind possible depending on weather. Portable toilets on site.
Admission
$13 members; $18 non-members.
