Build your own scarecrow at this fun community event! 

Scarecrow Day is an annual fall tradition at the Simsbury Historical Society. Join us on the front lawn. Pick out your scarecrow frame, dress it, stuff it with straw, and make it uniquely yours with our provided materials.

Scarecrow Day 2026 is sponsored by The Ethel Walker School. Located in Simsbury, Walker's is an all-girls independent boarding and day school and the only independent all-girls middle school in central Connecticut. Read more. 

Admission

Cost is $20 per scarecrow. Cash or credit. No advance registration required.
