Recommitment Signing of the Declaration of Independence

The Declaration of Independence was signed 250 years ago in 1776. All 169 municipalities in CT have been asked to send a representative to the State Capitol Building in CT to sign the Recommitment to the Ideals of the Declaration of Independence.

Signing 8:30-9:45 a.m. at the Capitol

Procession to the State Library. 9:45-10 a.m.

Ceremony 10-10:30 a.m. A reading of both the Declaration of Independence and recommitment will take place outdoors in front of the State Library.
