Pumpkin Patch Express
Pumpkin Patch Express: Pick Your Own Pumpkin by Train in Connecticut
Tickets are on sale now for the Pumpkin Patch Express, a family-friendly fall train ride through the Litchfield Hills. Riders travel along the Naugatuck River, crossing several bridges with wide views of the water and the changing leaves, and then pick out a pumpkin to take home.
The train makes a stop at the railroad’s own pumpkin patch. Each passenger chooses a pumpkin, and kids love it. These special rides run in the weeks leading up to Halloween and tend to be popular with younger children, so we recommend booking early. The whole trip takes about one hour.
Every ticket also includes a dish of pumpkin ice cream from Nutmeg Fudge Co.
Every ticket includes:
- One pumpkin from the Naugatuck Railroad pumpkin patch
- A dish of pumpkin ice cream from Nutmeg Fudge Co.
- A one-hour train ride with a stop at the pumpkin patch
