Pirates & Vikings at The Connecticut Renaissance Faire

book tickets now learn more

Two groups of people with no historical business being in the same place have taken over the Faire. October 3 and 4, sea raiders and shield bearers share the grounds, and somehow it works. Cutlasses and axes. Black flags and longships. The energy this weekend runs loud and chaotic in the best possible way.

Saturday is the Pirate and Viking Costume Contest. Weathered captains, ruthless corsairs, shield-bearing warriors, battle-hardened raiders. Step onto the stage and show off a look worthy of the high seas or the longship prow. Judges are looking for creativity, confidence, and the sense that you belong to a crew feared and respected across the known world.

Sunday is the Siren Song Contest. Take the stage and share a haunting melody, an enchanting tune, or a seductive refrain that feels pulled from the depths. This is not about perfect pitch. It is about mood, presence, and the ability to captivate an audience with nothing but your voice. If you can sing a note that would draw ships off course, this is your moment.

Come dressed for plunder or glory. Or come as you are and pick a side once you arrive.
