Photography of We the People with Ginny Kemp

You are invited to Photography of We the People with Ginny Kemp on Wednesday, June 3, at 6 p.m., at the Noah Webster Library Meeting Room, 20 S. Main St.

On the eve of the United States' 250th anniversary, the We the People Project offers a powerful snapshot of West Hartford and its residents, photographed and curated by Virginia Kemp. Through portraits and interviews, the project highlights everyday individuals whose courage, creativity, and compassion shape their community through steady, meaningful contributions. While rooted in Central Connecticut, these stories reflect how communities everywhere thrive when people show up for one another and do their part.

Ginny Kemp is a portrait and documentary photographer based in West Hartford, CT, whose work is rooted in a lifelong fascination with people and their stories. Raised in Michigan and inspired by family photographs and letters, she later spent years in clinical social work before finding her way to photography-two paths connected by deep listening, trust, and human connection.
