Opening Day-Road to Revolution 1775, First Alarm out of Lexington

Opening Day! The First Alarm 1775, arrives at Leffingwell House Museum April 26 from 11am-3pm. The day begins at 11am with the “Shot heard around the World’ followed by the Flag raising by Norwich Scouts. At 11:30, Witness the delivery to Christopher Leffingwell, of the First Alarm letter out of Lexington with the news that the Revolution had begun! Upon hearing the news, Governor John Trumbull and Jedediah Huntington will tell of their preparations for the conflict. On the museum grounds, interact with Living History Presenters in the Lebanon Militia-crafters & camp lifestyle, Big Bear Trading Company, the 6th CT Regiment and members of the 20th Regiment and the Spanish Louisiana Fixed Regiment-Bernardo De Galvéz Forces. Leffingwell House Museum is commemorating the Start of the Revolution & delivery of the First Alarm to Leffingwell as well as the Leffingwell House 350th Anniversary year! Enjoy the History in the house and have a slice of Leffingwell House 350th Anniversary cake! $8
